In addition, popular signatures such as Serenity, the adult-only retreat; Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse and the Alchemy Bar, among others will be onboard.

Designed to provide the ultimate cruise vacation, the 5,200-guest mega-ship is sure to be a crowd-pleaser for all ages and interests. Welcoming guests on board, a magnificent atrium will serve as the social hub of the ship.  You’ll discover a host of places to stay and play, including several “distinctive zones” filled with fabulous eateries, chic bars and more. Numerous accommodation options will include a wide range of styles, including the introduction of Carnival Excel suites that come with special amenities and priority access to the line’s first resort-style, open-air enclave, Loft 19.

Loft 19

Making its debut on Mardi Gras will be a brand new concept for the line, Loft 19. Find nirvana atop the ship’s highest deck at this secluded retreat, Set to rival the finest resorts in the world, this open-air reservations-only enclave will be open to all passengers, but suite guests get priority access. Separate from the Serenity adult-only area, comfortable spacious cabanas will be available to rent complete with plush robes, chilled towels, beverages and more, sure to provide a delightfully serene experience. Loft 19 will offer pampering with several exclusive perks, such as concierge service, lunch delivery to your cabana, full-bar service, and an infinity pool with relaxing sun loungers.

Emeril’s Bistro 1396

Aptly located in the ship’s French Quarter, if you love the flavors of New Orleans, you will have the opportunity to savor his signature dishes, such as authentic Creole, gumbo, ceviche and more.

Excel Suites & Presidential Suites

 Indulge in new accommodations on the Mardi Gras, Excel Suites, which includes 32 stunning suites in several categories. Incredible Excel Corner Suites will feature large wraparound balconies, private outdoor hot tub, an al fresco dining venue and areas to simply relax. Stay in the largest suites in the Carnival fleet, Presidential Suites. Herein you’ll enjoy expansive balconies with a sunbed, private outdoor hot tub and shower, as well as access to the spa’s thermal suite and the Havana pool area.

 BOLT Roller Coaster

 

Thrill-seekers can take the pulse-pounding ride of their lives when they strap in on their motorcycle-style speed machine and race around an open-air course high above the sea on BOLT – the first rollercoaster at sea!  This all-electric thrill ride enables you to control your speed, while also taking in the spectacular 360-degree views as riders zip along the 800-foot-long track at speeds nearing 40 miles-per-hour.

Family Feud Live!

Sure to deliver lots of laughter and fun, guests have the opportunity to play Family Feud Live!™ Featuring the same format and stage setup as made famous on the TV show, two five-person teams will battle it out for the opportunity to win various prizes. Survey says, let the games begin!

Six Themed Areas

Throughout the ship will be six distinct zones for dining, drinks, entertainment, relaxation and lots of fun, with options to delight everyone in the family.         

CL_MD_Atrium_02_Hig_day_rendGrand Central – No ordinary atrium, this exciting day-to-night entertainment area is a transformative place with floor-to-ceiling windows  spanning three decks and a bar overlooking the starboard side of the ship – the perfect place to meet up with friends for drinks and conversation.

 French Quarter – Pass a good time and feel the rhythm of lively New Orleans with seemingly endless chic bars, live music and fabulous dining venues. Another nod to the “Big Easy” is that you can chill out at a New Orleans jazz club with hand-crafted cocktails. Savor exceptional cuisine at the new Emeril’s Bistro 1396. Please your palate with authentic small plates, classic Hurricane cocktails made famous in the bayou, plus more in a laid-back convivial atmosphere.

La Piazza – Feel yourself transported to Italy and “la dolce vita” is this delightful area.  Savor an evening of delizioso Italian classics served family-style in this casual setting. Enjoy a wide variety of authentic dishes from Cucina del Capitano and the 24/7 Pizzeria del Capitano. Still hungry? Try out the new Mediterranean-themed seafood restaurant. Buon appetito! During the day, head to the bar for a delicious cappuccino or espresso, while at night, traditional Italian cocktails are served as roaming musicians entertain.

 

Summer Landing – Designed to be the hottest “chill spot at sea,” this zone will have the expanded Guy’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse | Brewhouse. The tantalizing menu of this “Off the Hook” Guy Fieri eatery features scrumptious freshly smoked barbecue favorites, Parched Pig craft beers brewed on board, plus more. Relax at the various hang-outs and lounging areas for a fun time that feels like summer year round.

Lido – Casual and airy, the expanded Lido area is a poolside destination with a multitude of ways to enjoy yourself. Spend the day at your pick of delicious dining and watering holes.  Did someone say Lobster Roll? New England-inspired Seafood Shack probably serves it. BlueIguana Cantina is a very popular Mexican food venue and of course, Guy’s Burger Joint for hot off the grill, 2 napkins necessary, perfectly topped, happiness on a bun.

 

The Ultimate Playground – Spanning decks 18 through 20, this family-friendly playground offers lots of fun for kids and adults alike! BOLT: Ultimate Sea Coaster is located here, along with an expanded SportSquare and Carnival’s largest WaterWorks, with three huge spiraling slides. If you desire more active entertainment a mini-golf course, full-court basketball and a ropes course will also be situated here. The kids (and the grownups) will never want to leave!
