Stunning interiors, state-of-the-art designs, innovative amenities, dazzling entertainment, fabulous dining, spectacular accommodations and more will have your family “oohing and aahing.” This is also the ideal time for first-timers to establish their sea-legs.  Some of the most popular names in cruising, including Carnival Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruises, Holland America Line, MSC CruisesNorwegian Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean Cruises will all be introducing unique and special ships.

Here is a preview of some of the fabulous cruise ships that you can reserve now for next year:

Carnival Horizon

Thrills galore will be featured on Carnival Cruise Line’s 133,500-ton, 3,936-guest Carnival Horizon. Scheduled to arrive in April 2018, she will boast many popular features found on her sister, Carnival Vista, including RedFrog Pub & Brewery, a unique bike-ride-in-the-sky attraction called SkyRide, an IMAX Theatre, ropes course and a huge WaterWorks park featuring a thrilling 455-foot slide. This floating resort has extra-spacious Family Harbor accommodations and incredible Havana Cabanas & Suites, where its guests have exclusive use of an aft pool, bar and more. Nearly 30 food and drink venues, three pools, Camp Ocean youth programs and many other amenities offer something fun for everyone in the family.

Celebrity Edge

Taking innovation to new levels, the Celebrity Edge will be the first of Celebrity Cruises’ revolutionary Edge Class when she debuts in fall 2018.  The 117,000-ton, 2,900-guest marvel will introduce several first-to-cruising features, such as: The Magic Carpet, the world’s first cantilevered deck that moves between decks 2 and 16, serving as a unique bar, restaurant and embarkation area. A show-stopper is the lovely Rooftop Garden where guests can relax and reflect in a gorgeous urban playscape surrounded by sculptures and music. The Retreat is a serene area exclusive to suite guests who may enjoy a private pool, sundeck, lounge and restaurant. New suite classes include a 5,000-square-foot Iconic Suite positioned high on top of the ship with sweeping panoramic views and the stunning two-level Edge Villa. The Resort Deck will have a large pool and “martini glass” Jacuzzis overlooking the deck below. Eden offers guests an ambiance that changes in the morning, afternoon and evening to enhance your experience and The Meeting Place will be perfect to conduct business at sea.

MSC Seaview

The 154,000-ton, 4,140-guest MSC Seaview will become the second in MSC Cruises’ Seaside Class when she sets sail in May 2018. She’ll offer more balcony staterooms, public areas and sea views. Her 360°promenade with glass railings will circle the entire ship and will serve as a lovely area where guests may stroll along in the sea air and they enjoy dining venues, chic bars and boutiques. A whopping 468,000-square-feet of public space will include a theater, panoramic ocean-facing elevators, a theater and unique terraced balcony staterooms. Nine eateries include two restaurants in partnership with acclaimed chef Roy Yamaguchi. Three outdoor catwalks will extend out over the water, interactive 5D cinemas and the longest zip lines at sea are some of her additional extraordinary features.

ms Nieuw Statendam

Sister ship to the popular ms Koningsdam, the 99,500-ton, 2,650-guest ms Nieuw Statendam should arrive in December 2018. Her features will include favorites from her sister including several dining options such as the French-style seafood brasserie, Sel de Mer. Guests will also enjoy a new immersive farm-to-table dinner experience where master chefs prepare fabulous meals in front of guests, sure to be a foodie favorite. This stunning bright and airy Pinnacle Class ship will have a variety of modern and elegant accommodations, including those designed for families, a companion or solo. Many happy memories will be made at the Greenhouse Spa & Salon, a wine-blending venue, a large movie screen and two-tiered Lido Pool area.  World Stage will be a 360-degree entertainment hotspot blending music and dance with a wraparound 270-degree screen that integrates live action. Passengers will adore Music Walk, featuring B.B. King’s Blues Club, Billboard Onboard and Lincoln Center Stage.

Norwegian Bliss

Norwegian Cruise Line’s 167,800-ton, 4,000-guest Norwegian Bliss will debut in spring 2018, boasting such exciting features as a two-level electric-car race track, an open-air laser tag course, heart-racing waterslides that round the side of the ship and much more.  Exceptional dining options, entertainment venues, bars, lounges and youth programs will ensure that there’s something for everyone in the family. Stop by Norwegian’s signature Observation Lounge as well as The Waterfront, with al fresco restaurants and bars. Relax at two pools and six infinity hot tubs. The Aqua Park boasts two multi-story waterslides and the high-speed, cantilevered, Ocean Loops. Symphony of the Seas

When the 230,000-ton, 5535-guest Symphony of the Seas enters service in April 2018 she will become the world’s largest cruise ship and the fourth of Royal Caribbean’s Oasis Class ships., Special features will be available in her seven diverse neighborhoods: Boardwalk, Central Park, Royal Promenade, Entertainment Place, Youth Zone, Vitality Spa and Fitness, plus the Pool and Sports Zone.
