Dubbed “Regina del Mediterraneo” (Queen of the Mediterranean), she boasts over 7,000 pieces of art, lending her an elegant regal feel. Amenity-filled, there are seven diverse restaurants, lots of chic bars and lovely quiet areas. This ship’s design enables guests to immerse themselves in “La Dolce Vita” — a joyful way of life as they discover “Cruising Italian Style”. Highlighting the Costa Diadema, is an open-air 1,640-foot Promenade – the longest in the fleet – with two large glass mosaics of the Mediterranean shoreline called “Riviera Ligure” on both sides. Widening at one point by almost 30 feet and extending partially over the side of the ship to accommodate six cabanas and two Jacuzzis, guests will enjoy the sensation of being suspended above water experiencing amazing views. This enclave is ideal for people-watching and it’s bars and restaurants overlook the area.

 Making their first appearance on Costa’s new flagship, is an authentic Japanese restaurant, Tavola Teppanyaki, Piazza Pizza, for fresh hot pies and the Gelateria, serving nearly 20 decadent flavors of homemade gelato. Savor an array of Italian regional wines at Vinoteca and indulge in a host of European beers at the two-deck Birreria Dresden Green with its Bavarian-style atmosphere. Returning on the ship are Bar Bollicine Prosecco and the cozy Teodora Bar, opening out to a square overlooking the sea as you enjoy a wide variety of fabulous cocktails. Comfortable armchairs and lots of tables line the dance floor for nights filled with music. Dance and musical performances add to the charming 1950’s mood at the Grand Bar Orlov.

Exciting new entertainment venues have also been introduced, including the Country Rock Club, for classic rock music at night and an arcade with interactive games, such as the Laser Maze. Shop at the many stores featured at the immense Portobello Market.

Diverse amenities include the Squok Club for kids which is hosted in an area designed like a castle. Discover a teen zone, a jogging track, 4D cinema and huge screen by the pool — something for everyone in the family to enjoy. Spanning four decks, the Samsara Spa, one of the largest at sea, boasts a state-of-the-art fitness center, beauty salon, sauna, solarium and a thalassotherapy pool. Exquisite meals are featured in all, with a focus on mouthwatering pasta dishes that are part of the Italian cruising experience.

Intimate, with a warm ambiance, is the specialty restaurant Club Diadema noted for world-class gourmet fare. Mouthwatering Japanese fusion cuisine is served at Tavola Teppanyaki, with meals prepared tableside on a grill. Dine in a lovely relaxed ambiance with weathered wood logs, faux rice paper and traditional shoji screens. Savor scrumptious hot pies at Piazza Pizza, cooked in authentic ovens.
