A weekend cruise is relaxing and fun and it doesn’t use up your well earned vacation days! Weekend cruises are also a great opportunity to try out the experience of cruising for those who have never cruised before.
A cruise weekend offers something for everyone. You can have a romantic weekend away, family time with the kids, a girls (or guys) weekend out or a birthday or anniversary celebration or cruising just to have fun. Whatever your reason cruising is a great way to get away, leave the stress behind and have some fun.
What’s it like to take a weekend cruise? Here is a sample itinerary:
Friday
You can board the ship around noon and start your weekend getaway. Change into your bathing suit and hit the pool deck. Enjoy a fabulous lunch. Make your spa appointments. Most ships leave port between 5PM and 6PM. Wave good-bye and feel your stress fade away!
Once at sea dine in one of the ships many restaurants. After dinner enjoy a show, listen to music and relax in one of the many lounges, dance the night away in the disco or try your luck at the casino.
Saturday
When you wake up you arrive in port. The day is yours to do as you please. Go on one of the numerous excursions, spend the day at the beach or take in some shopping. In most cases you have the full day in port. Most cruises arrive between 8AM and 9AM and depart between 5PM and 6PM.
Once you get on the ship it’s time for another exciting night. Try a different restaurant for dinner. Make your way to the different clubs, see another show or try another hand in the casino.
Sunday
Wake up early (if you choose) and hit the gym. Or sleep in and relax. Perhaps order breakfast in your cabin or have breakfast in one of the restaurants. On some itineraries this day will be spent relaxing at sea or on other’s you will visit the cruise line’s private island. The private islands greet you with beautiful white sand beaches. There are water sports galore, activities for the kids, and beach barbeques for when you get hungry. The day is yours to send as you wish.
On your final evening have a relaxing dinner and then enjoy all of the evening entertainment that the ship has too offer.
Monday
Sadly, on Monday morning it’s time to disembark. You will leave feeling refreshed, with many wonderful memories and looking forward to taking your next cruise.
A number of ports offer weekend cruises at affordable rates. Whatever port you choose to cruise from you’ll find weekend cruising to be fun and a great way to leave it all behind – oh, and a little addictive too!

Short cruises are NOT good UNLESS one lives in Florida or near departing ports. Living in Oklahoma City, makes cruising most difficult due to airlines, time frame/travel time & hotel arrangements for night prior to cruising.
Hopefully, someday, you can offer a package that is beneficial to those living in middle America.
Note: to reach a cruise departure place, requires a full travel day & spending night in order to make cruise departure time.
Additionally, the flight arrangements usually cost almost as much as entire cruise.
Just a suggestion for future offerings.
Thank you,
Suzanne
Hi Suzanne! We do offer land packages as well!
